Who is a candidate for Restylane & Sculptra

No skin testing is required prior to the injection which makes Restylane or Sculptra suitable for most people. These soft tissue fillers are recommended for smoothing out folds and wrinkles, lip enhancements and shaping facial contours.

The Restylane Injection Procedure

Restylane gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts to replace lost volume, lifting up and smoothing out unwanted wrinkles. Dr. Popham and Dr. White inject Restylane into the treatment area using a variety of techniques to achieve the desired result. The treated area is numbed slightly with a topical anaesthetizing cream before treatment.

Immediately after the treatment, patients can expect slight redness, swelling, tenderness or an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The discomfort is temporary and generally disappears in a few days.

The Sculptra Injection Procedure

Sculptra™ is injected by Dr. Popham and Dr. White just below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss, providing a gradual increase in skin thickness. Visible results appear within the first few treatment sessions. The Sculptra™ injection takes time to gradually correct the depression in your skin. Dr. Popham and Dr. White will see you again in a few weeks to evaluate the results. Most patients receive three treatments to achieve maximum results.
