Park Avenue Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical center that has been specifically designed to provide personal and professional care for patients undergoing outpatient surgery. The center is fully licensed and certified by the State of Colorado, the Medicare program, and accredited by the Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Hospital Organizations. Park Avenue Surgery Center is located in central Denver and offers on-site parking.

The Benefits of our Surgery Center

Since the Surgical Center is designed exclusively for short stay surgery, we are able to offer patients a convenient, comfortable and less costly alternative to a hospital. The increased level of individual attention minimizes the stress often associated with surgery. There is also less risk of antibiotic-resistant infection at a Surgery Center.

Despite the many differences, Park Avenue Surgery Center also shares some very beneficial similarities with a hospital environment.

1. Your surgeon is supported by a highly skilled team of registered nurses and medical technicians specially trained in surgical and recovery care.

2. Our surgical suites and state of the art equipment are like those of a large hospital.

3. Board Certified Anesthesiologists will be involved in your care and available to speak to you the night prior to surgery and upon your admittance to the Surgery Center.

Insurance

Unfortunately most elective cosmetic procedures will not be covered by your insurance policy. Please check on your benefits before setting up an appointment. Dr. Popham is a participating provider with most of the insurance plans in the area, including Medicare. Some insurance plans require referrals from a primary care physician, and our office staff will be pleased to assist in this process. Remember that insurance is only a method of paying for medical services and that you may be responsible for the payment of any deductible, co-payment, or other balance not paid by your insurance company.

If paying out of pocket, acceptable methods of payment are personal check, cashier's check, cash, Care Credit, Visa or MasterCard. In special circumstances, other arrangements may be made with our office manager.

The first question most people want to know is, "What will my cosmetic surgery cost?" All your questions including this one can be answered during your initial consultation with Dr. Popham. At that time he will perform an exam and learn about your personal goals, then recommend the best surgical or non-surgical procedure that will give you the best results. By the time you finish your consultation, which takes about one hour, you will know all your surgical options, Dr. Popham's recommendations, and all costs involved.

The final cost of cosmetic surgery will include Dr. Popham's fee, the anesthesia, any medical devices (based on your personal needs) and the operating room. Your quote will break down the individual fees so you understand exactly how we calculated your final cosmetic surgery cost.
